There are 4 waterfalls in the park, we visited the stone mountain waterfall. It has 200' drop, the hiking trail is moderately difficult. The good thing is you can enter the waterfall waters and play around, which is often restricted in many of the parks. We will definitely recommend anybody thinking to camp at the park.

Beautiful Park, designed with camping in mind. The park has camping sites for almost all the varieties of camping, individual, group, RV etc. equipped with Electric/non-electric, handicap accessible ramps, bathrooms, showers etc. The bathrooms are neat and clean and are well maintained. The park staff is friendly. Nice Picnic area.

The camping sites are well maintained, and the bathrooms are in the nicer side of many campgrounds. The electric sites are more open with woods behind which makes it great for groups. They now have access to the campground even after the park closes.

Great place for camping or a good day hike. For hiking it's best to decide if you want to go over the mountain or see the falls. You can go either way to start, and it loops around to see both. The views on top of the mountain are beautiful. The waterfall it nice to also see but plan on a lot of steps back up.

I've been here a couple of times. It's fun to hike to the summit on a trail that literally includes sections of just stone surfaces. Great views from the summit. We were able to hike from the upper trailhead to the summit and back in a little over an hour. About 3.7 miles. There is also camping here, waterfall hikes, backpack camping and more. It's a nice state park. The Mountains-to-Sea trail also passes through the park.

This has always been one of my favorite day trips. Beautiful scenery and invigorating hikes. If you are planning a trip now, check the website as some of the trails we're damaged and are closed from the storms that came through in October. The trail from the summit to the gravel road is closed and so in the stairs from the top to the bottom of the falls.

Absolutely stunning views from the 2305 ft summit and at several points along the way. Recommend being somewhat well physically conditioned as the accent is steep & somewhat tedious. I am a runner & pretty fit yet was sore in my legs the next day. On a clear day you can see out about 80 miles from the summit. Beautiful area & wildlife out there!

It is one of our favorite locations.
